Rheinmetall BAE Systems Land (RBSL) is a defence engineering company based in the UK. It designs, manufactures and supports military vehicles used by the British Army and international customers. RBSL was launched in July 2019 as a new, UK-based joint venture business between BAE Systems and Rheinmetall. The business has a proud heritage, having designed and delivered many of the Army's armoured vehicle fleets under different business names. RBSL employs a skilled workforce of more than 700 people, including over 300 engineers and 50 apprentices across its UK sites in Telford, Dorset, Bristol, and Newcastle. RBSL is delivering Challenger 3 - 148 modern tanks designed, manufactured and assembled in the UK - providing the British Army with world-class capability. RBSL is also supporting the delivery of the Boxer contract announced between UK MOD and ARTEC GmbH, a joint venture between Rheinmetall Landsysteme GmbH, Rheinmetall Defence Nederland B.V, and KNDS Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG.
